Dear James Avant Elementary Families and Community,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! It is an honor and a privilege to continue serving as principal of James Avant Elementary School. As we begin another exciting chapter, we remain committed to providing every scholar with a safe, supportive, and academically challenging learning environment where they feel valued, encouraged, and empowered to succeed.

Last year, we began laying a strong foundation for growth. This year, Our Journey Continues: Level-Up in Excellence! Challenge Accepted! Together, we will build upon our progress and continue striving for excellence in student achievement, instruction, school culture, and family engagement.

At James Avant, we believe meaningful partnerships between the school, families, and community are essential to student success. We encourage our families to remain connected, communicate regularly with teachers, participate in school events, and celebrate each milestone along the way. Your partnership makes a powerful difference.

Our faculty and staff are dedicated to meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of every scholar. Through high expectations, engaging instruction, meaningful relationships, and consistent support, we will help our students recognize their potential and prepare them for greatness.

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I welcome you back to another incredible school year at James Avant Elementary School! As our journey continues, I am honored to return and serve alongside our amazing staff, students, families, and community. Each new school year brings new opportunities to learn, grow, build relationships, and create meaningful experiences that help our scholars thrive.

I am committed to supporting academic achievement and ensuring every student has the opportunities and resources needed to succeed. I believe in creating a culture of high expectations, continuous growth, and shared accountability while supporting our staff with the collaboration, encouragement, and tools they need to thrive. Together, we will work to empower every student to reach their fullest potential and prepare them for success in school, in their communities, and beyond.
